San Francisco, CA - June 2009 The San Francisco Chronicle live with SCS ReserveAdBoss. ReserveAdBoss is being used by the advertising sales and support staff to manage ad inventory for all premium ad positions and pages. The web based application has over 100 users that are monitoring premium ad positions that have been sold and space still available. ReserveAdBoss allows users to quickly check ad inventory via a web browser. Port Of Spain, TT - May 2009 Trinidad Express live with SCS/Track and Layout-8000 The Port of Spain newspaper is now using SCS/Track to manage the ad production process. About 40 users utilize the application to create, proof, PDF and archive all ads. Layout-8000 has also been installed and is used for ad dummying and paper layout. SCS LinX is being used for ad placement on Quark Pages and Quark Pages document creation. The site will use SCS InLay whenthey switch to InDesign pagination. Manchester, NH - April 2009 The Union-Leader Live with SCS/Track, upgrade Layout-8000 to v11 The 25 user system is in daily use managing all aspects of ad production, including, archiving of ads, ad creation, proofing and sending PDF's to output. The Union Leader also upgraded Layout-8000 to v11. Bellevue, WA - May 2009 Puget Sound Energy installs Fotoware The Northwest energy company is now using FotoWare to manage all images and projects in the marketing department. The system is used by marketing staff as they produce print material for PSE. Work flow and ease of use were key factors in the decision to install FotoWare. SCS is the sole US distributor of FotoWare products. Maracaibo, VE - June 2009 Panorama daily newspaper begins using CAS web order entry for classified ads. Web based order entry has been installed and is now in use by Panorama, one of Venezuela’s largest daily newspapers. The web based SCS product allows customers on the Internet to place ads in the print and on-line edition of the paper. Detroit, MI - July 2009 Detroit Free-Press and Detroit News live with SCS ReserveAdBoss. ReserveAdBoss is being used by the advertising sales and support staff to manage ad inventory for all premium ad positions and pages. The papers use RAB to manage ALL ad inventories. The web based application has over 75 users that are monitoring ad inventory that has been sold and space still available. ReserveAdBoss allows users to quickly check ad inventory via a web browser. Newark, NJ - April 2009 The Star-Leger goes live with SCS/ClassPag and Layout v11 The installation of the SCS application helped the The Star-Ledger achieve efficiency goals by quickly paginating the classified section of the print edition. The Newark staff also paginates the classified section of the Trenton Times and Staten Island Advance using SCS/ClassPag. The site passes ad information to SCS/ClassPag from their MacTive order-entry system. Toronto, CA - June 2009 The Globe and Mail Automates color correction Using ColorFactory, Smart Color and Smart Clean The Globe and Mail has automated color toning and correction. The products, produced by FotoWare in Norway and sold in the US by SCS are capable of managing image routing and toning. 99% of the images used by The Globe and Mail in print now pass through Color Factory. Grand Rapids, MI - May 2009 Booth Newspapers in Michigan being using InLay for ad placement The Grand Rapids Press, Kalamazoo Gazzette and Muskegon Chronicle are using SCS InLay for ad placement in Adobe CS3. The pagination work flow and application was tailored to meet the layout output specifications for PPI. Los Angeles, CA - April 2009 Occidental Petroleum installs Fotoware The marketing and photography department at Occidental Petroleum is now using FotoWare to find and archive all marketing and photography department images. FotoWare replaces a manual process put into place to track the images in folders. Coopersburg, PA - July 2009 Penny Power Shopper goes live with SCS/AdMAX The weekly shopper is now using SCS/AdMax for all advertising functions. The Admax system replaced a home grown application, and is used for all retail and classified order entry, invoicing, A/R functions and reporting. SCS/ClasPag in used to paginate the entire product.
